Voices of Detroit #26—Positive Cities Dot com and Whistle Stop Restaurant
Voices of Detroit #26-Whistle Stop Restaurant and PositiveCities.com
Voices of Detroit with Larry Henry and David Benjamin make a point of not only telling the great stories of Metro Detroit entrepreneurs and community leaders, but also doing the show at many locations around the area to highlight them.
This time we do both, as we visit the Whistle Stop Restaurant and Bakery in Birmingham and chat with owner Matt Rafferty.
And being "positive" people, how could Voices of Detroit not talk with Erin Rose who is the energy behind PositiveCities dot com.
Both Erin and Matt have a lively discussion with Larry and David in this edition of Voices of Detroit.

Erin Rose www.PositiveCities.com http://www.positivedetroit.blogspot.com
Erin is a Detroit Transplant, growing up in the burbs of Flint, MI. After surviving 13 years of Catholic Education, she moved west to attend James Madison at Michigan State University with the intent to become a Constitutional Lawyer. During her first semester, she was introduced to technology; fell madly in loved with it and eventually switched her major to Telecommunications. By the end of her first senior year, she had a random encounter that redirected her focus and began purchasing rental properties in our State’s Capital, which lead her to a career in Mortgage Planning upon graduation.
In late 2004, she packed her bags and moved east to Metro Detroit. By the end of 2007, she decided it was time to dust off the cobwebs and use her college degree after being inspired by a real estate friend who was venting about the negativity of the local news media to create her blog Positive Detroit.
Fast forward to April 10, 2009 and Positive Cities Dot Com launches with a Detroit Tiger’s Opening Day Tweet Up held from the Press Box. You can follow Erin on twitter @PositiveCities
