Voices of Detroit #23--Haven & Michigan Mall Dot com
After overcoming our fear of Swine Flu and leaving the underground germ-free bunker, Voices of Detroit with Larry Henry and David Benjamin is back with two great guests who show the spirit of Michigan.
Tracy Thomas is the Director of Fund Development for Haven, an organization that helps over 18,000 persons annually who have been victims of domestic violence or sexual abuse.
Marshall Rice is the co-founder of Michigan Mall Dot Com along with his wife Janice. Marshall gives us insight into the company, how it is helping grow Michigan businesses, and their upcoming Celebrate Michigan Expo.

After decades in the corporate and community service arenas, Marshall and Janis Rice found their passion – helping local businesses gain much-needed exposure on the internet, and “making Michigan matter” in the American economy once again.
In 1998, the couple founded MichiganMall.com, an online showcase for businesses large and small, in industries ranging from personal services to manufacturing and entertainment
Based on ten years of growth and success, Marshall and Janis created the inaugural Celebrate Michigan Expo in 2008.

I volunteered at HAVEN's Parade of Hope event this year - thanks for covering this great charity; theirs is a cause worthy of support.
