On March 19th, Voices of Detroit held a special wine tasting party and taping of the show at Vintner's Cellar in Royal Oak, Michigan.

In this edition, VOD chats with co-owner Sheryl Racey about how she and partner Lisa Berry started Vintner's Cellar, the art of wine making and more.

We also had a chance to connect Vintner's Cellar to Yelp as Mariah Cherem, the Detroit area Community Manager for the online site was also a guest.

Sheryl and co-owner LIsa Berry are metro Detroit natives, growing up locally and living in the Royal Oak area. Both had successful careers in the telecommunications industry when they decided to take on the adventure of entrepreneurial work. While Lisa was planning her wedding 5 years ago, she discovered a winery that offered splits of wine with custom labels. After receiving positive feedback Lisa decided to look into this business. Sheryl has always been a connoisseur of food and wine with an interest in owning her own business so it was a natural fit for them to enter this joint venture together. Both share a passion for enjoying the experiences of life and sharing it with others.
